Education
I attended Richard King High School, and graduated with Permanent Honors in June of 2015. I'm now attending the Texas A&M University of Corpus Christi looking to major in English & minor in Communications. I've also taken guitar lessons & continue to do so to this day. I'm contemplating a change in my major to Communications & my minor to business, but since I enjoy teaching very much so my original goals will most likely remain.
Experience
I've been babysitting my younger sister since she was born nine years ago. I've been tutoring her since she first began her education. She is now in fourth grade & I of course still tutor & baby sit her. I've assisted my former German Language instructor in teaching middle school kids & German 1 students. In addition to tutoring fellow students in various subjects, I've taught guitar on numerous occasions to friends & family alike. I'm also currently teaching my younger sister to play drums. My ACT PLUS WRITING composite score was 25. I earned a 27 in both the reading & writing portions, a 26 in the English/writing portion, a 25 in the science portion and lastly, a 19 on the math portion. I've taken AP English courses, AP statistics, German I-III, and received many lessons on guitar. I've now accumulated over 6 years of experience playing guitar. I was also involved theatre throughout high school, performing in school productions, as an actor & a sound technician. As stated, I graduated High School with permanent honor roll. I was also inducted into the German National Honor Society and elected as President my Senior year. I was involved in many extracurricular & voluntary services such as Theatre club, German Club, and beach clean-ups among other voluntary acts. I want to be a tutor so that I may help others achieve a better understanding of whatever they need assistance in. It'd help me to achieve even more experience in tutoring for my desired career choice, allow me to grow as an instructor & help fund my college expenses. I adamantly believe a proficient, caring and cultured teacher is invaluable, and hope that no peer goes through his or her education without access to such a resource. In order to help this cause I'm doing all I can to hone my own skills & offer any help I may give to a student in need of academic assistance.
